    What is the meaning of Notarization？

    Document notarization involves having a notary public witness the signature on a document, and then certify that this signature is authentic. A “Notary Public” is typically a lawyer, simply called a “Notary” in Quebec, who can witness signatures and make true copies of documents. The Notary Public who is notarizing your document will stamp (embossed seal) and sign your document, certifying that they witnessed the signature or made a true copy.

    In many cases, having your document notarized is an essential first step in the document Apostille process.

    What is the meaning of Apostille Convention?

    The apostille eliminates steps required to get documents accepted in countries where the convention is in effect, including the legalization by a consular office of the country of destination. This will simplify the acceptance of Canadian public documents in the more than 120 countries that have signed the convention.

    What is the meaning of Authentication?

    Authentication is sometimes required before you can use a Canadian document abroad. Authentication speaks to the genuineness of the signature of a public official found on a document. In other countries, authentication is also known as apostille.

    海牙认证（也称Apostille认证）是根据1961年海牙公约提供的国际认证方式，用于认证在国外使用的文件，其作用和功能就是证明文件的真实性，让文件在国外也具有对应的法律效力。海牙认证不是对认证文件内容的认证，而仅仅是对认证的第一签发人的认证，证明其真实性并有权利进行认证。

    《海牙公约》生效之后 ，想在国外使用国内的文件，只需先将文件进行公证翻译，再到授权办理海牙认证的部门进行海牙认证，该文书便可以在目的国使用


    1、商业认证类文书：公司营业执照、公司/个人委托书、公司/个人授权书、公司/个人专利证书、产地证、检验检疫证、商事证明商检证、在职证明、单位派遣信、商业合同、代理合同、箱单、公司价格单、公司/个人发票、报关单、公司更名、出口登记表等。
    2、民事认证类文书：出生医学证明、亲属关系证明、结婚证明、离婚证明、抚养权判决书、继承权判决书、房产证、车辆证、知识产权证明以及其他民事证明文件等。
    3、其他类别文书：除了以上两类文书外，还有其他一些文书也可以办理海牙认证。例如：学校毕业证书和学位证书、护照和身份证明、劳动聘用合同和劳动合同、医疗机构出具的健康体检报告和疾病诊断证明、公证过的遗嘱和委托书等。
